Gentec Cascade Hydro
Cascade Hydro uses the hydrokinetics
energy of river flow over and over again to to generate electricity
in the GW range as long as perennial river flow is greater than
5 cubic metres per second. The benefits over run of river hydro
include:
No penstock required
All the water stays in the river
Over 300 times more electricity
generated annually if an array of five units is used in fast flowing
river
Capacity factor of 100%
Electricity generated can be
continuous base load with the option to peak shave.
Device to aid 'wiring up'
off-shore wind turbine monopiles without using divers or ROVs
Gentec Ground Source Heat
Pump
Domestic and Commercial scale
ground source heat pump using Greenheat Systems' patented deltaT
booster. Normally ground source heat stores are charged by solar
energy during the summer months and the accumulated heat is released
during the winter months. The advantage of the dT booster is that
the 'ground battery' is charged winter and summer using a renewable
hybrid set up. System will provide constant electricity with or
without connection to the mains as well as providing all the hot
water and space heating requirements for domestic and commercial
buildings.
Suitable for distilleries, breweries,
bakeries and other commercial concerns that use a lot of heat
for their production processes.
Gentec WaTS
The only renewable wave energy
system that can deliver constant base load or load following electricity
in the GW range. A by-product is desalinated water. The system
comprises a wave energy converter mounted on a sea going ship
that is free to go to where the waves are instead of waiting for
them to come to you as is the case with competing wave energy
devices. The availability of suitably large energetic waves in
any fixed near shore location is restricted to around 20% of the
year - mostly during the winter months and the survivability of
fixed wave devices is very low because they cannot run for cover
in severe storm conditions as can a wave energy converter ship.
Gentec WaTS' deep ocean or pelagic
waves travel up an artificial beach mounted on the vessel where
the potential and kinetic energies are converted directly into
heat. It is stored as heat on board the ship in large thermal
accumulators until they are fully charged up thermally. Deep ocean
waves contain a lot of power so the 'thermal batteries' can be
recharged in just a few hours. When fully charged the ship returns
to it onshore berth where its valuable cargo of heat is transferred
to a much larger heat store. it is from this heat store that continuous
green base load electricity is generated with the option to peak
shave. The on shore Gentec WaTS' power station has a capacity
factor of 100% because it can run for over five days without any
thermal top ups from the ocean going wave energy converter ship.

electricity sales
In Scottish waters, five ROCs
valued at £55 each is paid for 1MWh of wave energy derived
electricity. Assuming a wholesale price of just £60/MWh,
any wave energy device will turnover £335/MWh(e) on sales
of electricity alone. For example, a 10MW Gentec WaTS' power station
built in Scotland at a cost of <£10 million will turnover
£29.3 million annually so the capital expenditure will be
repaid within 6 months when operating costs are factored in.
However, Gentec WaTS using an
open Rankine Cycle can desalinatate huge volumes of seawater from
the generation process as an option for many countries around
the world where potable water shortages are impacting heavily
on food production. In addition, Gentec WaTS, is capable of producing
billions of tonnes of desalinated water as a by-product from the
generation process valued at £1 per metric tonne annually.

Lockable Hospital Waste Bin

- bin lid is locked and cannot be opened by hand . Operating the
foot pedal unlocks and opens the bin. Staff learn not to try opening
the bin by hand.

Momentum Impact Recording
Device
This device contains no electronics
but can record vehicle impacts in 3D. It has a very low unit cost
and can be retro-fitted to cars, boats and planes. It is passive
until the moment of impact unlike expensive electronic vehicle
black boxes that record up to 20 seconds before the accident.
The device records ALL impacts in 3D until the vehicle comes to
rest making it a valuable tool for traffic accident investigations
because it records the impacts and directions. The present method
of 'calculating' pre-impact speeds using Newton's Laws based on
witnesses' and drivers' estimates of speed is nothing short of
educated guesswork and leads to miscarriages of justice because
drivers lie!
