GENTEC venturi

My invention, Gentec venturi, will generate continuous base load electricity from intermittent tidal stream. This Scottish invention is, I believe, the only non-intermittent renewable energy system in the world today. A by-product from the generation process is potable flash desalinated water.

The key points are;

" Synchronous grid quality base load, load following and peak shaving electricity
" Black start capability on a dead grid
" Potable water as a by-product
" Replaces burning of fossil fuels for generation of electricity
" Preheating of feedwater by renewables in existing coal fired power stations, to reduce coal burn rates towards zero.
" Eventual reduction of carbon emissions to zero over time

The basic concept is to use the kinetic energy in tidal stream to generate heat directly and store it in large thermal accumulators. Grid quality electricity is then generated using proven thermodynamic processes used in all thermal power stations from the heat store.

All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed;
Second, it is violently opposed; and
Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
-- Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860)
